PSHE
Statement of Intent
At Minterne, we believe that out PSHE curriculum is a vital part of our children's education. We know that PSHE will improve the physical, psychosocial, and personal well-being of our pupils, aiding them to achieve their potential. Our curriculum helps all children develop necessary skills, knowledge and attributes needed for them to understand the world they live in. It allows them to prepare for the responsibilities and challenges that they may face in life now and in their future, so that they may lead healthy, independent lives and become informed, active and responsible citizens - learning for a lifetime!
PSHE at Minterne
Our PSHE curriculum has been designed to sequence learning covering three core themes: Relationships, Living in the Wider World, and Health & Well-being. Lessons are timetabled weekly, with learning recorded in a shared big book. PSHE is not limited to these timetabled sessions as teachers will adapt and support to meet the needs of pupils within their class. PSHE is threaded throughout all areas of the curriculum and daily life at Minterne.
